ABSTRACT | ||
Abhijit Sen's novel Rahu Chandaler Har vividly portrays the captivating saga of a nomadic group spanning 150 years. The intricate narrative explores how the ancient story of the Bajikars intertwines with their beliefs, shaping their movement and existence. In this remarkable tale, there is no singular hero; rather, the entire Bajikar tribe embodies heroism. Their lack of a fixed habitat and their perception of the entire world as their home set them apart, as they challenge traditional religious and societal norms. This research paper examines the tensions within the Bajikar tribe’s life amid such chaos. It unravels the compelling story of how the bone of Rahu Chandal became the driving force behind a nameless tribe’s centuries-long wandering, with their myths and beliefs serving as their only refuge. Ultimately, the novel triumphantly depicts the unyielding human spirit and the will to survive. | ||
