ABSTRACT | ||
Curiosity,
mysticism, questioning all these make the great thing called life the subject
of the artist. Therefore, when the level of ordinary thought runs out everyday
for the artist, it becomes a leisure for new construction. Although diary is
initially meant as a daily routine, in many cases, it becomes a wonderful world
of selfconsciousness in the creation of the writer. Bibhutibhusan
Bandopadhyay's 'Smriti Rekha' is one search memory. What is private, what is
unauthorised access to the artist, gives rise to the inquiry of the literary
reader. Abandoning hope, memory, nature excitement of joy, understanding of
eternity, these things have come up under the shelter of the diary. This work,
which was often written while staying in areas like Bhagalpur, far away from
the heart of Bengal, cannot therefore be called a mere diary. Apart from that,
when the author did not sit in the court of character creation in his
imagination, when no literary style is his goal, he said where he is in
private. This is his self-reflection. | ||
