ABSTRACT
The subject of philosophy is the search for truth and establishing truth in life. Indian philosopher did not stop at discussing the theoretical aspect of truth but also discussed its practical aspect of truth. Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhist philosophy discuss various aspect that are useful for life. The idea of Brahmabihar is inherited in the nature of Samyak Samadhi, which is the thought of Buddha . ‘Maitri’, ‘Mudita’, ‘Karuna’, ‘Upekhya’ the four-fold chitya vihara, in each of the vihar are called ‘Brahmanang-sahavyatay-mag-go’(the path to attending the companionship a of bramha),‘Bramhalok-sahavyatay-mag-gong’(the path to attending the companionship of brahmalok) and the idea of Bramhavihar by Budhadeb. Brahmabihar is to express the feeling of free, boundless love and affection for all the people without anger, jealousy or hostility. Doing good to others, serving them without self interest, care for others are called human Dharma. The essence of every religion and philosophy is to do good to living beings. The way to reach this goal is to abandon one ‘s own interest and wish happiness for others true love affection friendship and then find satisfaction in happiness. This human religion is hidden in the brahmabihar thoughts spoken by the Buddha. If a person practice this fourfold thought within himself then his mind will be pure and he will exist in a blissful state with an innocent image like Brahma. I think that, practicing these bhabna or thoughts spoken by the Buddha has become very useful in the present selfish society.
