Vedanta: A Panacea for the Modern Depressed Life Dr. Krishna Dhibar, Asst. Prof, Depty. Of Sanskrit, Rampurhat College, West Bengal, India
ABSTRACT | ||
Since the birth of civilization, man has been plagued by three types of suffering. In family life and in personal life man today is imprisoned in the prison of threefold suffering. In the globalized world, people are constantly burned by the intense mental pressure on the one hand and physical pain on the other hand. People lose the value of life while searching for the way of liberation. Where is the relief from this frustration? All egos of life are destroyed in Vedantic sense. When ego is destroyed, man realizes God within himself. When all the darkness of life is dispelled by the light of knowledge then the real value of life is realized. Self-confidence develops in life when all the inferiority of human life is removed by Vedic consciousness. So, it can be said that Vedanta is the elixir of liberation from all the frustrations of life. How Vedantic intuition can guide us through life's frustrations is the main object of my article.
