ABSTRACT | ||
Language is the unit by which man express his thoughts through a series of meaningful sounds or combinations of sounds. There are many debates about when, where and how language was first created. However, it is estimated that language originated and started during the period of Pithecanthropus approximately 20 million to 2 million years ago. Language is a living process. Needless to say that the process of changes. There is a wide difference between the language of the beginning of creation and the language of today’s modern age. And this difference is in the structure of the sound, form, pronunciation of language. My topic of discussion is the language of Kakdwip region. Kakdwip region is a dialectal region of Bengali language. Linguistic diversity in the region will be explored by analyzing the language of Kakdwip region from a sociolinguistic perspective. | ||
