ABSTRACT | ||
In the world of modern Bengali poetry, Kazi Nazrul Islam is a name that remains unforgettable. Without him, the discussion of Bengali poetry would be incomplete. Though not educated in the traditional academic system, his poetry has introduced a new dimension to Bengali literature, earning eternal glory for all Bengalis. The world poet Rabindranath Tagore was also deeply impressed by Kazi Nazrul Islam's poetic talent. However, Nazrul did not adhere to conventional poetic styles. Instead, he used his talent to voice rebellious words for the common people, earning him the title of the ‘Rebel Poet.’ But this was not his only identity. His personality also reflected a deep love and connection to nature. While rebellion marks the early phase of Nazrul's poetry, love and nature consciousness emerge in his later works, where love and passion intertwine. A beautiful combination of love and nature consciousness can be seen in his poem ‘Bataayan-Pashe Gubak Tarur Saari’. | ||
