ABSTRACT | ||
Bengali Short stories are an art form that has ushered in a new era in the world of fiction. With the changing times of the world, people's thoughts, ideas, and tastes are constantly changing. It can be seen that there is a change. The mind explores something new. As a variant of this exploration, short stories appeared to the reader with a different kind of satisfaction and taste. It can be said that the nineteenth century is a fertile time for creating worthwhile short stories. Short stories of Bengali literature can also take their place in world literature with nobility. The flame of Bengali short stories that was started by Trailokyanath Mukhopadhyay, Swarnakumari Devi, and Purnachandra Chattopadhyay in the Pre-Rabindra era, was developed and flourished by the golden hand of Rabindranath. Rabindranath's contemporary and later short story writers have tried and are continuing to take that pursuit to the peak of enthusiasm. | ||
