ABSTRACT
The journey of autobiography in Bengali literature started from the 19th century.  The history of autobiography through Devendranath Tagore, Rabindranath Tagore, Rassundari Daasi has reached the threshold of the twenty-first century. The tradition of autobiography can be seen in North East Bengali literature as well as in Bengal. However, unlike stories-novels-poems, no other literature has been discussed in the readership.  If we make a list of the autobiographies of the Northeast written so far, the most notable autobiography comes to mind is the book 'Nana Rangar Din' in two volumes written by Anurupa Bishwas who is a noble and famous writer of Barak Valley in Assam. In this book not only her personal life comes up, but all the information of the country and society is also captured by the author's pen.  Our aim will be to outline the untold history of the Northeast based on Anurupa's autobiography.
Key Word: Autobiography, Anurupa, history, Bengali, northeast.
